Balzano Family Vineyard & Pumpkin Patch

The Balzano Family Vineyard and Pumpkin Patch offers wine tasting and food year round. Pumpkin patch is open every weekend in October.

Balzano Family Pumpkin Patch:

Enjoy a beautiful fall day at the Pumpkin Patch. Located just 15 minutes from Carlsbad, our Pumpkin Patch is the perfect way to spend some quality time with your kiddos. Pick your own pumpkin grown right in our field. Admission gets you a whole day of fun activities for all ages. Pumpkins are sold separately.

Hayrides:

Climb on up and grab a seat on a bail of hay and join the short ride down to our pumpkin patch and vineyard, where you can wonder through the field to find the pumpkin that is just right for you!

Farmland Petting Zoo:

Love animals? Well we have plenty of cute animals to fall in love with. Feed our adorable goats, mini pigs, rabbits, baby calf, chickens, ducks and more. In fact this year we expect to wlecoming new baby mini pigs into the world during the pumpkin patch.They love kids and can't wait to see you!

Pumpkin Fun:

Want to see how far you can sling a pumpkin or a gourd? Well then the pumpkin slingshot is your game. Last year our record was a mini pumpkin that was slung 400 feet into the field. can you beat that? Or try your hand at pumpkin bowling, which is new this year. Knock down all the pins and you win a prize.

Bamboo Maze:

Everyone said "you need a maze". Ok we heard you and we designed a special bamboo maze. You might wonder why we don't have a corn maze. Well we live in the desert and water is a precious thing, especially when you are growing pumpkins and grapes. So we are saving the water for all our big beautiful pumpkins and wonderful grapes that make our wine. But we promise you'll get lost and have fun in this awesome sustainable maze!

Fairy Garden:

Did you know that every time we plant a pumpkin seed a flower fairy is born? Neither did we, until all of a sudden a fairy garden started to be built by our winery. It's filled with fairy homes, and toys and lots of fun things to see. But remember you have to look and not touch and you have to wear our wings and pixie dust so they won't see you.

Papa's Fishing Pond:

This year our little pond is filled to the brim with fish just waiting for a good fisherman. Catch and release as many as you can. We have the fishing poles and all the gear, just come ready for some fishing fun.

Gunslinger Shootout:

Come on partner and head on over to the new Gunslinger Shootout where you can test out your shooting skills with one of our awesome marshmellow guns. Can you hit all the targets? If you can then you can win some very cool prizes!

Hay Climbs & Tire Climbs:

Kids love to climb on stuff, and we have plenty of things to climb on. They can climb our hay bail stack that is ten bails high (which is extremely high), or climb on one of our old tractors. We have new tire stacks and other fun things.

Horse Racing:

Bring out your competitve edge and challenge your kiddos to horse race on our large bounce horses. It's bound to be fun, right?

Chuck Wagon Dinner:

This will be the first year that we host a huge Chuck Wagon Dinner at the Pumpkin Patch. Join us for a down home traditional brisket dinner with all the fixins. We'll have bonfires and smores and band playing your favorite country tunes while you take a turn on the dance floor. It will be a good ole' time.
